Middlesex University’s Enterprise Development Hub hosted a series of events during GEW 2015 to help students learn new skills and gain the confidence to launch their own business
Global Entrepreneurship Week 2015 pitched up at Middlesex in November, as the University's Enterprise Development Hub (EDH@MDX) hosted a series of events on campus to help budding entrepreneurs get their ideas off the ground.
In total 13 events were held over five days, covering everything from pitching business ideas to raising capital, networking to social enterprise, and e-commerce to eco-business.
Special guests from organisations including the Federation of Small Businesses, Natwest, Barnet Council and SPINNA visited the London campus to speak at the events, while industry-specific sessions focused on making it in the music and fashion businesses.

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2015 pitched up at Middlesex in November, as the University's Enterprise Development Hub (EDH@MDX) hosted a series of events on campus to help budding entrepreneurs get their ideas off the ground.

A Junior Entrepreneur Competition for 11 local secondary schools was also organised, with more than 50 Year 8 pupils challenged to devise a new social centre for Middlesex students before pitching their ideas to a panel of judges.
Dr Simon Best, who heads up EDH@MDX and is programme leader for the MSc Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship degree, coordinated Middlesex's GEW activities.
