Deputy Dean of the Business School awarded title for her ‘long-term commitment to professional development’
The Higher Education Academy (HEA) has announced that Dr Heather Clay, Deputy Dean of the Business School, is its 500th Principal Fellow.
Dr Clay, who was one of the first HEA Fellows in 2003, has been given the title in recognition of her leadership role in developing academic provision within the School and building collaborative links both in the UK and internationally.
“I am very pleased to be the 500th Principal Fellow,” Dr Clay said.
“Preparing for the assessment helped me to reflect on the experience I have gained throughout my career and about how we never stop learning and developing as teachers, whether we are in strategic leadership roles or directly involved in teaching students. I have found that HEA Fellowship has supported me through every stage of my career.”
Professor Stephanie Marshall, HEA CEO, said: “Many congratulations to Heather. Principal Fellowship is a fantastic accolade – showing a long-term commitment to professional development.”
