Dr Kenny Odunukan is an established academic and strategist with extensive experience across teaching, research, and industry practice. He previously served at the University of Lincoln, where he delivered a wide portfolio of modules including Advanced Strategy for Business, Strategic Management, Strategy in Context, International Business, and International Entrepreneurship across undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA programmes. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he designed and led rigorous courses focused on the critical evaluation and development of organisational strategies within complex, fast-changing, and uncertain global business environments, spanning both developed and emerging economies.

He holds a PhD in International Business, Management and Strategy from the University of Lincoln, where he also worked as an Associate Lecturer in Strategy and Enterprise. Prior to entering academia, Dr Odunukan spent over a decade in senior management roles within a leading multinational corporation operating across emerging markets, providing him with substantial practical experience that continues to inform both his teaching and research.

Dr Odunukan advocates data-driven, analytics-enabled, and evidence-based approaches to strategic decision-making. His research interests lie at the intersection of firm internationalisation, strategic management, and digital transformation, with particular emphasis on SME growth and development, rural enterprise, global business strategy, and entrepreneurship. He also maintains a strong interest in digital entrepreneurship, particularly the application of artificial intelligence and emerging digital technologies to support innovation and business growth.

He also holds a Master’s degree in International Business (with Distinction) from the University of Lincoln and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA)
