Programmer (1982), System Analyst (1985), Licentiate in Computer Science (1992), Ph.D. in Computer Science (1998), M.Sc. in Higher Education Practice (2009).
I am interested in developing innovation of services supported by the use of sensing devices. If you want to know more about my experience and work (including downloadable publications and Ph.D. opportunities) check my web page...
Teaching "Current Topics in Computer Science" (CMT3340) to final year students.
My research interests are related to technical areas usually referred as Context-Aware Computing, Ambient Intelligence, Ambient Assisted Living, Intelligent Environments, Smart Environments, Pervasive Computing, Ubiquitous Computing, Person-Centric Computing, Internet of Things, sensor-based computing, etc.
I am happy to consider students with very good performance wishing to enroll in a Ph.D. prorgam and train as researchers in any of these areas or in topics with a clear relation to these. If you are self-funded the school runs admissions three times a year. If you require funds, our School opens a competition every year in early Spring to award Ph.D. studentships to exceptional international students.
