Dr Rand Hussein Raheem received her Diploma in Electrical and Computer engineering from Dhofar University affiliated to the American University in Beirut, Sultanate of Oman in 2009 (First Class Honours). In 2010, she got her BSc in Computer Communication Engineering from Dhofar University (First Class Honours). In 2011, she got her MSc in Telecommunication engineering from Middlesex University, London, United Kingdom (Merit degree), and then got her PhD in "Interference Management and System Optimisation for Small Cells Technology in Future 4G/5G Networks” in 2016.
Rand is now a Lecturer at Middlesex Univeristy. Her primary expertise is in the development of new technologies and networks for mobile and wireless systems. Her aim is to continue her research on the performance of vehicular environments together with the Interference mitigation in train environments.
