We provide a range of initiatives designed to foster entrepreneurship and help those wishing to become self-employed.

Blow Ties Middlesex UniversityEnterprise Development Hub

Run out of the Business School, the Enterprise Development Hub (EDH@MDX) is a University-wide initiative. We equip students, staff and alumni with the confidence, knowledge and tools required to turn a smart business idea into reality or set up as a freelancer, consultant, contractor or sole trader.

Throughout the academic year, we run a series of workshops and seminars covering a wide range of topics including, innovation, business planning, the basics of business and networking, e-commerce, social enterprise and eco-enterprise.

We also run group and one-to-one mentoring sessions, as well as enterprise events such as the MDX Spring Fair and various competitions.

EDH@MDX is overseen by Business School academics who are also successful entrepreneurs in their own right.
