Go Green Week taking place at the Hendon campus from 2 to 4 March
Middlesex University is preparing to 'go green' for a week
of environmentally friendly initiatives next month.
From 2 to 4 March between 11am and 3pm, the Rickett
Quadrangle will play host to a number of eco activities designed to get students
and staff thinking green.
These will include an Energy Bike that will allow
participants to feel how much energy is required to keep their gadgets on
standby, an Eco Drive Simulator to help drivers reduce their fuel consumption
and a session from the Barnet Bee Keepers.
FairTrade food prizes will be on offer each day and anyone
who brings in their unwanted clothes for recycling will receive a Marks and
Spencer voucher.
"Sustainability is a top priority for the University, and to
build on our success, we have developed Go Green Week encouraging all staff and
students to increase their participation in our green initiatives," commented Director
of Estates and Facilities Andrew Dickie.
