Leadership, Work and Organisations academics present three papers at Edinburgh conference

A delegation of Middlesex academics from the Leadership, Work and Organisations department headed to Scotland in June 2014 for the annual University Forum for Human Resource Development (UFHRD) conference.

Dr Julie Haddock-Millar, Chris Rigby and Chandana Sanyal were invited to present two working papers for the 15th 'International Conference on Human Research Development Research and Practice across Europe' event.

The two papers presented were 'Mentoring for Employability: a Three Dimensional Framework', reporting on two successful research grants, and 'Addressing Barriers to Employment in the Public Sector: a Development Diversity Programme'.

Head of Department Dr Mary Hartog was also in attendance at Edinburgh Napier University to present a peer reviewed paper to the conference based on the evaluation of the Barnet Leadership Development programme, which she conducted with Chris Rigby and Dr Doirean Wilson.

'Leadership Development: Action Learning, Austerity and Change in the Public Sector. What Have We Learned?' was awarded a UFHRD research grant.
