BBC Radio London host Dotun Adebayo has given two aspiring Middlesex University journalists the chance to guest edit his weekend show on the London radio station.
Antoinette Scott, third year BA Creative Writing and Journalism student, and second year BA Journalism and Media student Hilda Poole were handed the reins of the show by Dotun – gaining valuable experience of the industry.
They were tasked with finding out how engaged in politics young black Britons are. The experience followed on from the visit to Middlesex University by civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson – where the pair interviewed the leading figure.
Dotun Adebayo offered the students the chance after visited Middlesex in March 2013 to share his experience with students, presented by Professor Kurt Barling.
