  • Your application

A word from our students

At Middlesex, you’ll join a truly global community with students from 122 nationalities and campuses in London, Dubai and Mauritius.

We don’t think there is anywhere better to be an international student than Middlesex University but don’t take our word for it and hear from some of our international students about their experience at Middlesex.

  • Important information

    • Academic and English language requirements

If you have any questions about entry requirements and the suitability of your qualifications, please contact your regional team.

As part of the current Student route (formerly tier 4) visa regime, prospective students face robust questions about their destination, limits on their ability to work and tighter rules on their English-language capability. Due to these constraints, we are currently not accepting applicants from Nepal to our Pre-Sessional and International Foundation programmes until further notice.

      Level of study

      Entry requirements

      Undergraduate - Year 1

Applicants should have achieved a First Division (with a minimum 60% to be considered for Year 1 of an undergraduate programme, some programmes may require a higher percentage pass mark) in Class XII or at least three credit passes at A Level.

      Postgraduate

Applicants should have achieved a minimum of Masters's degree at 65 % (following a three year Bachelor degree) equivalent to a Second class lower (2.2).

You must also meet our standard English Language Requirements. If you don't meet these or one of our other accepted tests, we offer a Pre-sessional English course.

    • Fees, funding and scholarships

Reduced fees for the children of Gurkhas

Middlesex University believes that, like the children of all British soldiers, the children of Gurkhas have a right to a British education, and is demonstrating its support for the Gurkhas by regarding their children as UK students instead of as international students. In effect, this will mean that their tuition fees for an undergraduate programme could be reduced by almost 65 per cent.

If you are the son or daughter of a Gurkha and wish to apply for the reduced fees, you must provide:

      • A copy of your father's Army discharge certificate
      • Proof of his relationship to you, e.g. your birth certificate

You can apply for a Gurkha Children Bursary using the application form.

      Middlesex scholarships and awards

We are pleased to offer a range of international scholarships and merit awards to international students.

Visit our scholarships page for a list of all Middlesex scholarships you may be eligible for.

      Other scholarships and awards

You can also apply for the British Government's Chevening Scholarships, and a variety of private agencies and charities for scholarships, bursaries and grants to study in the UK. For more information visit the British Council website or the UK Council for International Student Affairs website.
